Upon its introduction, a 287-horsepower, 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine has propelled the Pacifica with power channeled through a nine-speed automatic transmission. During the 2017 calendar year, a plug-in hybrid version of the minivan will arrive combining a dual-motor eFlite electrically variable transmission with the Pentastar powerplant. One of the first hybrid minivans sold in the United States, 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid can run up to 33 on electric-only mode.
