Honda refreshed its venerable Accord sedan for 2016 while making available Honda’s Honda Sensing technology package, which combines camera and radar systems to help drivers avoid pedestrians and other obstacles. The Accord sedan is available with V-6 or four-cylinder power and either a manual or automatic transmission, depending on trim level. There are six trim levels – LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L V-6, and Touring. The other major Honda sedan is the compact Civic. This nameplate is almost as well-known as the Accord. Redesigned for 2016, the Civic has new looks inside and out. It’s also available with Honda Sensing. The new Civic comes in five trims: LX, EX, EX-T, EX-L, and Touring. Power comes either from a 2.0-liter, 158-horsepower four-cylinder or a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 174 horsepower. Transmissions include either a six-speed manual or a continuously-variable automatic (CVT).
