Ford offers plenty of choice in the SUV segment, from sizes small to extra-large. The smallest is the Escape, which sits in the compact crossover segment for Ford. If mid-size is more your speed, you can choose from the five-seat Edge or the seven-seat Explorer. For a funkier look, the wagon-like Flex offers seven seats and a distinctive design. The Expedition rounds out the lineup as the full-size offering. Ford’s family of EcoBoost engines, which are meant to maximize fuel-efficiency, are available on all models. Engines range in size from 1.6 liters to 3.5 liters, depending on model. All offer comfort and safety features typical of their respective classes. For 2016, the Escape adds Ford’s updated Sync 3 multimedia suite, an available Chrome Appearance Package for the SE trim, and a couple new colors. The 2016 Explorer adds a new available 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and an available Platinum model. Like the Escape, the Expedition adds new available exterior paint colors and the updated Sync 3 system. The Flex also adds new paint color choices and Sync 3, along with a newly available Appearance Package.
