2014 Mitsubishi Ratings, Reviews and Awards
2014 was a year of trying to remain competitive for Mitsubishi. The company had several improvements up its sleeve for its line of cars and SUVs, as well as an all-new subcompact, fuel-efficient car, the Mirage. Designed to be both affordable and fun to drive, the Mirage included a modest 3-cylinder engine that managed up to 42 miles per gallon on the highway, a rear spoiler, USB connection, and an upper trim level with leather-wrapped trims and a push-button start. The Outlander SUV received several upgrades for 2014, including a revised chassis, advanced safety controls, and an enhanced CVT, while the Outlander Sport saw a new audio system, redesigned steering wheel controls, and reconfigured packages. Mitsubishi made satellite radio standard for the Lancer Evolution and added a touchscreen audio system, while its Lancer Sportback’s GT trim benefited from standard satellite radio and a rearview camera.
