For 2012, Mercedes-Benz is presented with some fresh, new designs and increased model variety. Leading the Mercedes-Benz brand into 2012 is an all-new M-Class luxury sport utility vehicle. The larger Mercedes-Benz M-Class features a direct-injected base engine and an optional BlueTEC diesel variant. Mercedes-Benz's four-door sport coupe enters 2012 with a second-generation redesign. More defined, muscular styling is accompanied by new engine performance from a twin-turbocharged 4.7-liter V-8 as well as a CLS63 AMG model propelled by a 518-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 6.2-liter V-8. Other new performance elements infused into the 2012 Mercedes-Benz line includes the all-new SLK convertible, a roadster version of the SLS AMG supercar and a coupe version of the C-Class. New technology called Magic Sky Control incorporated on the SLK polarizes the glass roof to suit specific conditions. The R-Class' 3.5-liter V-6 engine is provided with an additional 34 horsepower for 2012. No AMG version of the SL model is available for 2012.
