2018 Chevrolet Equinox ratings and reviews
A serious makeover has given the Equinox some additional power and momentum in 2018. The 1.5 and 2.0-liter turbo engines are available with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The final engine in the Equinox lineup for 2018 is a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel. Fuel mileage for the diesel engine maxes out at 33mpg highway, while the gas engines run at 28mpg. Safety features include lane-departure warning, blind spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Equinox is not available in up to 12 exterior colors and four interior colors. Available in front or all-wheel drive, the Equinox features a new all-wheel drive system that will disconnect the rear axle’s driveshaft when not needed to improve overall mileage. Technology upgrades include Internet access, 2 LCD monitors, smart device integration, and OnStar turn-by-turn navigation. The Equinox is backed by a 36-month or 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and roadside assistance for 60-months or 60,000-miles.
