The diesel engine has 369 lb-ft of torque and 181 horsepower. The fuel economy is 31 mpg, and the engine can tow up to 7,700 pounds. Other available engines include a 2.5-liter inline-four-cylinder and a 3.6-liter V6. All three engines offer the choice of either 2WD or 4WD. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder is available with either a manual or automatic transmission. Standard features on the base level GMC Canyon include a six-speaker audio system, 4.2-inch screen, power locks and windows, and a rearview camera. The next trim up, the SLE, offers an eight-inch touchscreen, rear defogger, cruise control, and keyless entry. The top-level trim, the SLT, has remote start, heated front seats, and automatic climate control.
