Land Rover introduced the newly redesigned Discover SD in 1999, the SUVs first redesign in over a decade. It offered a new interior and exterior, complete with all the creature comforts and powered by 4.0-liter V8 engine that produced 182 horsepower. Popular new features included: Hill Descent Control, Traction Control and Active Cornering Enhancement, all which were now offered standard.
