After its facelift last year, the Fusion continues into 2020 with only minor changes to the lineup. The Sport model is no longer available for this year, though the Co-Pilot 360 suite of safety options that was introduced last year as standard equipment continues as such for this year.

Fitted with an 88-kilowatt electric motor and a 7.6-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack, the 2013 Ford Fusion Energi could travel up to 19 miles on electricity alone. Like all plug-in hybrids, a gasoline engine takes over than electric power is depleted from the battery. In regards to the 2013 Fusion Energi, an efficient 141-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine activates achieving 42 miles per gallon in average fuel economy. Combining the distance of the electric motor and the gasoline engine, the plug-in hybrid sedans traveling range was estimated at 550 miles.
Offered in SE and Titanium trim levels, the 2013 Ford Fusion Energi came well equipped with standard leather seating, SYNC and MyFord Touch. The 2013 Fusion Energi also included active noise control that uses the cars audio system to reduce road noise. Through a MyFord Mobile smartphone app, a motorist was provided a wireless connection to the Ford Fusion Energi able to monitor charging and receive locations of electric charging stations. For 2014, inflatable rear seat belts and a heated steering wheel were added to the Ford Fusion Energi.
