Audi Q8 Model Years and History

For 2026, the Q8 Premium base model adds the availability of a Convenience Plus package with added features over the previous model year's Convenience package. The Audi SQ8 and RS Q8 both carry over with minimal changes.

For 2025, the Audi SQ8 and RS Q8 both carry over with minimal changes while the SQ8 gets a refreshed exterior.

For 2024, the Audi SQ8 and RS Q8 both carry over with minimal changes while the Q8 gets a refreshed exterior.

For 2023, the Audi Q8, SQ8 and RS Q8 all carry over with minimal changes.

For 2022, the Audi Q8 comes with minor to the infotainment system while the SQ8 adds adaptive cruise control as standard.

For 2021, the Audi Q8 comes with minor changes to the lineup, this includes more safety features like blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert as standard on all models.

After a full redesign last year, the Q8 continues into 2020 essentially unchanged. However, Audi have introduced two performance variants for the Q8: the SQ8 and the RSQ8. Both are motivated by powerful turbocharged V8 engines and both are incredibly fast in the realm of large SUVs. Styling is also subtly different from lesser Q8 models, with unique front and rear fascias and available black out packages with a variety of 21 and 22-inch wheels.

Based off Volkswagen's MLB Evo platform shared by the Audi Q7, Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne, the 2019 Audi Q8 debuts with its Ur-Quattro inspired exterior design powered by a Volkswagen Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection (TFSI) 3.0L engine and Quattro All-wheel drive system. Completing an already proven and impressive platform is the available fully-adjustable air ride suspension with all-wheel steering that brings the Q8 to new heights of versatility and comfort.
