About A7

Audi’s answer to the emerging European luxury carmaker trend for four-door coupes, the A7 Sportback approaches the genre of highly sport-oriented luxury car with a five-door hatchback. Combining with a more radical exterior styling that was being rolled out by the Audi brand, the 2012 A7 Sportback served as an eye-catching vehicle. With standard quattro all-wheel drive, a supercharged, gasoline direct-injected 3.0-liter V-6 engine propelled the 2012 Audi A7 Sportback. The 3.0-liter TFSI engine of the 2012 Audi A7 Sportback generated 310 horsepower and 325 pounds-feet of torque sourced through an eight-speed automatic Tiptronic transmission.

Initially equipped as a four-seat vehicle, the 2013 model year of the Audi A7 Sportback allowed customers to order an optional rear bench seat allowing for a fifth passenger. While the 2013 Audi A7 Sportback line-up kept the turbocharged 3.0-liter powerplant, an S7 Sportback model was released with a higher performance package. For 2014, the Audi A7 Sportback added a second engine in the form of a TDI diesel. The turbocharged, 3.0-liter V-6 TDI powerplant of the 2014 Audi A7 Sportback allows impressive fuel economy of 29 miles per gallon through combined city and highway driving.
