A big challenge with electric vehicles has always been range. The Rivian R1S delivers between 260-320 miles of range putting it in competition with the Tesla Model X, and Hummer EV. With seating for seven the R1S is poised to compete. The R1S shares many of its attributes with the R1T pickup. Like the R1T, it offers a 128.9-kWh battery pack that the EPA estimates is good for 316 miles of driving per charge.
