The Toyota Tundra returns in 2019 with 12 years since its last overhaul in design. Most of its competition saw redesigns since then, but Toyota seems to be resting on the minor improvements but a steadfast concept. The Tundra still has a 4.6-liter V8 engine with 310 horsepower and 327 b.-ft of torque. There is an option of a 5.7-liter (also a V8) with 381 horsepower and 401 lb.-ft, as well. The base-model fuel economy is estimated at 15 mpg city/19 mpg highway/16 mpg combined. Four-wheel drive is optional, and the rear-wheel drive is standard. There are several trims to choose from, up to the Platinum and 1794 Edition. The entry-level Tundra comes standard with 18-inch wheels, forward-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, a backup camera, USB port, keyless entry, Bluetooth and a six-inch touchscreen. The roomy CrewMax cabin is also standard, offering a lot of space for the typical base-model pickup.
