A new generation of the RAM 1500 marks this model year. The automaker takes the full-size truck to a more sophisticated level with a more luxurious and roomier cabin with the necessary amenities to make the drive pleasurable and fun. It also sees some rebranding with a newly designed grille. It introduces a V6 and V8 hybrid powertrain with a 48-volt electric motor called eTorque to boost fuel economy along with an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission and optional air suspension. The towing capacity peaks at 12,750 pound. The Uconnect multimedia system receives an upgrade too with a 12-inch vertical touchscreen now available. Cargo space is ample with the RamBox bed-storage system add-on for even more room for storing gear. Visibility is excellent with an emphasis on comfort. The manufacturer even expanded the exterior color choices. The Ram 2500 and 3500 will see their day in the sun the following year.
