A new Rebel trim has been added to the Ram HD lineup for 2023, a few pieces of equipment have been updated for the 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster display, a new digital rearview mirror option, a trailer reverse steering control, a Trailer Tow pages app, multiple view modes, behind trailer view, and blind-spot view. A Mopar performance hood is now available on Laramie and Limited trims.

The Ram 2500 and 3500 carry over into 2022 with a few changes that include a new Silver Edition package for Big Horn/Lone Star trims, a few upgrades in the Equipment package for the Power Wagon and trailering technology and lighting. Uconnect technology, which is faster and offers new content, is now standard on most trims.

The Ram HD has been given a few minor improvements for 2020. A new optional 50-gallon fuel tank is available on crew-cab configurations along with a universally optional Lane-keep assist and adaptive steering system.

The Ram HD has been given a ton of major improvements for 2019. Chief among these improvements are new, more powerful engines, a higher tow rating and an improved chassis. The drivetrain has also been revised with a new 8-speed transmission, a class exclusive. In addition, a much-improved interior provides extra luxury, with plenty of new features as well as the latest in driver assistance technology, such as an available 360-degree camera and a 12-inch, fully configurable touchscreen. The Ram HD models were always a good option for towing, but thanks to improvements made for 2019, they will provide the best choice for anyone who is serious about towing in comfort and safety.

The Ram HD has few changes for 2018, though the big Cummins 6.7L diesel found in the 3500 now produces 930 pound-feet of torque.

The Ram HD gets several new additions and changes for 2017, starting with a new Power Wagon trim. Featuring unique, macho-looking exterior styling, the Power Wagon has a unique interior, along with its own grill, wheels, bumpers and exterior graphics package. The offroad package has also been heavily revised for this year and features hill-descent control, tow hooks, a skid plate for the transfer case, Bilstein shocks, wheel flares, and offroad tires. In addition, all Laramie, Laramie Longhorn and Limited trim trucks now come with the 6.4L Hemi as standard.

For 2016, the Ram HD pickup range changes only slightly. The top-trim Laramie Limited receives small exterior and interior updates, including a revised grille and an all-black interior. A new center console is standard across the Ram HD range. Finally, a compressed natural gas option is available on the 5.7L V8 when fitted in regular cab and crew cab rear-wheel-drive trucks.

The Ram HD was fully redesigned last year, so this year it only gets a couple of minor updates. Top-of-the line 3500 models, when equipped with the most powerful diesel engine, now make more torque. In addition, the maximum payload of those models has been increased as well, all the way up to 7,390 lbs.

Ram Heavy-Duty 2500 and 3500 pickups are redesigned for 2014. The trucks feature a restyled interior as well as a slightly updated exterior. The biggest changes come underneath, in the mechanicals that make them so tough. Ram's 2500 trucks all receive the stronger frames introduced last year in the 3500s. The 2500s also benefit from a new front and rear suspension, with their rear leaf springs replaced by a 5-link coil spring setup, and the front gets a more stable 3-link system. Optional suspension upgrades include rear heavy-duty air suspension in place of the coil springs to assist with load leveling. Across the HD lineup, a new 6.4L Hemi V8 joins the powerplant list, slotting in above the standard 383-hp 5.7L Hemi. It produces 410 horsepower and 429 ft-lb of torque and features cylinder deactivation for improved fuel economy, as well as an active runner intake for better low-end torque and more power at the top end. The 6.4L inline-6-cylinder Cummins diesel returns in three guises, with an improved exhaust break. Rear axles on the 2500 have been increased from 10.5 inches to 11.5 inches, and the 4x4 trucks now feature front axle disconnect, a segment-exclusive that increases fuel economy by up to 1 mpg. Finally, gross combination weight rating for 3500 diesels has been improved to 37,600 pounds. The 2014 Ram HD lineup is available in 12 different colors, including new colors of Granite Crystal and Blue Streak.

For 2013, diesel models get a long list of improvements. All Ram Heavy Duty diesel models get a new cooling system that includes a high-efficiency fan, dual radiators, dual transmission coolers and a charge air cooler for 25 percent more heat-rejection capability and better durability. Diesel models also get a new Ram Active Air intake, as well as a larger exhaust-gas recirculation (EGR) cooler plus selective catalyst reduction; and they get a new capless fuel filler. Also for 2013, grille designs are new; the quad-headlight design has a new beam pattern and the premium headlamp system has a new bi-halogen projector-beam setup with LEDs for running lamps and turn signals. Inside, the center console area and front seating configurations have been redesigned; there are all-new ventilation and A/C controls, and new Uconnect connectivity and entertainment systems have been added. For 2013 the remote central locking system now includes the RamBox cargo management system and tailgate locks. A new remote start system now allows starts from up to 300 feet away.

The biggest news for Ram's heavy duty line in 2012 is the addition of a new 6-speed automatic transmission, paired with the 5.7L Hemi V8, which replaces the previous model years' 5-speed unit. The new transmission is stronger than the outgoing gearbox, and it features both lower first and higher final gear ratios. Rambox storage is now available across all models, and electronic stability control is now standard on single rear wheel trucks. Inside, a new steering wheel has been fitted, and a trailer brake controller is now standard on SLT, Outdoorsman, Power Wagon, Laramie and Laramie Longhorn.

New to the Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 Heavy Duty lineup for 2011 is a Ram Laramie Longhorn Edition, which the brand calls the most luxurious Ram Truck ever. Also, the Ram Outdoorsman is a new model that brings off-road capability plus trailer-towing hardware together. A spray-in bedliner is newly available on the Ram HD trucks and a tire-pressure monitor is now standard on the Ram 2500, while an electronic brake controller is included in SLT, Outdoorsman, Power Wagon and Laramie models. New wheel options and interior colors have been introduced, and White Gold Metallic, Saddle Brown Pearl Coat, Sagebrush (Longhorn only) and Hunter Green Peal Coat and Deep Cherry Red Crustal Pearl Coat join the palette.
