Originally marketed under the Freightliner label, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter series offers a solid lineup of work trucks for almost any type of job. For 2019, the Sprinter series remains mostly the same, including its Cargo Van, Crew Van, and Passenger Van variants. The Sprinter can tow up to 7500 pounds when properly equipped and offers two engines and two wheelbases to tailor each van to the needs of the driver. New safety technology can be found inside, including forward collision mitigation, blind spot monitoring, and lane departure alerts, but much of the Sprinter looks and feels the same as its 2018 version. Also getting few notable changes is the Metris, the Mercedes-Benz answer to an urban-friendly work van that’s easy to maneuver through traffic. The Metris is available on Cargo Van, Passenger Van, and their Worker variants, and offers up to 2425 pounds of payload capacity when properly equipped.
