The 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter gets a new host of advanced safety features. The additions include: a new windshield-wiper cleaning system, rear cross-traffic alert, drive-away assist, active lane-keeping assist, active cruise control with distance assist, parking assist with rearview camera, active braking assist, a new windshield-wiper cleaning system, blind-spot assist, trailer-stability assist and a revised crosswind-assist system.

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter gets several new styling updates for 2019. A new front fascia now includes optional LED headlights while LED taillights make their way to the back of the vehicle as well. A new 4-cylinder engine is available this year, while the V6 diesel from last year has also been given a few revisions for a couple of extra horsepower. In addition, a new 7-speed automatic replaces the old 5-speed from 2018.

For 2016, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter receives a revised design for the grille, headlights, bumper, and badging. LED daytime running lights also feature on the Sprinter, and window and thorax airbags are now standard on 2500 and 3500 models with a 9,990 gross vehicle weight rating.

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is mostly unchanged for 2015, after several notable improvements for last year. New options for 2015 include a taller roof on 170-inch wheelbase models, as well as the option of all-wheel drive on select models.

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter enters 2014 with a new front end design that echoes its more athletic Mercedes automobile cousins, with an attractive, upright grille, revised headlights, and more pronounced contours to the hood. A new 2.1L 4-cylinder BlueTEC turbo diesel engine is now standard. It produces 161 horsepower and 265 ft-lb of torque, with maximum torque available from 1,400 rpm and is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The diesel V6 carries on unchanged. New available accident avoidance systems include Collision Prevention Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Highbeam Assist and Lane Keeping Assist. Finally, interior materials have been upgraded, including firmer, more breathable and more durable seating.

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter continues into 2013 with very few changes. An optional 7-speed automatic transmission is the most significant new feature, while the braking system is also updated with new electronics. The brakes will automatically apply a small amount of pressure in the wet to keep rotors dry and full braking will now automatically be applied if the car detects an emergency braking situation.
