The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado returns as a notable competitor in the truck marketplace, with most of its features remaining the same in the 1500 LD. Fewer engine options are available, but because of this reuse of the old model, the price should be a bit lower, even if only by a little. The Silverado LD will only be produced for 2019. Only one engine is available this year, a 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft of torque. The fuel economy comes in again at 15 mpg city/22 mpg highway/17 mpg combined driving. The towing capacity is 9,400 pounds with rear-wheel drive, and 9,200 pounds when four-wheel drive is engaged. The 2019 model is only available in an extended double cab, with seat for six, and a bed that measures 6’6”. Standard are 17-inch steel wheels, power locks, a backup camera, xenon headlights, cruise control, Bluetooth, a USB port, a seven-inch touchscreen, air conditioning, and a 40/20/40-split front seat (bench).
