The two sedans in the automaker’s stable get some subtle and not-so-subtle changes for this model year. The Mazda3 proves it is an ideal commuter vehicle once again with the now-standard Smart City Brake Support with automatic emergency braking. There are two four-cylinder engine options, a 155-horsepower 2.0-liter or a 184-horsepower 2.5-liter. Both offer decent fuel economy with a combined MPG hovering around 30 for either power plant. The Grand Touring trim level adds some new features with daytime running lights and LED headlights. There’s a lot to love about the 2018 Mazda6. The vehicles gets a modest exterior makeover that gives it a more elegant profile. It receives some new goodies including a 360-degree camera system, an updated Mazda Connect multimedia system with a larger display, and an overall improvement in the cabin comfort. Most of the magic happens under the hood with enhancements in the suspension and a new power plant, a 250-horsepower, 2.5-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder.
