The Soul is a good economy car at an economy price. The 2017 base started at 13k when I was shopping. The soul is a little underpowered but still makes great power for everyday driving (it isn't meant to be a racecar!). The catch is that with the 1.6 litre engine you are averaging 30+ mpg in a wagon
