For 2017, the GMC Acadia receives a complete redesign reflected by a rugged yet premium crossover appearance. Shaving 700 pounds off the previous model's overall weight, the 2017 GMC Acadia gains sophistication with engineering as well as design. An Acadia All Terrain variant is equipped with an all-wheel drive system using an Active Twin Clutch. Retaining the availability of three rows of seating, the 2017 Acadia is offered with a direct-injected, 2.5-liter four-cylinder or a familiar 3.6-liter V-6 engine generating 310 horsepower. Teen Driver feature as well as active front grille shutters are found standard on 2017 GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL. For 2017, Yukon Denali models are given additional standard amenities such as Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking, head-up display and 22-inch wheels featuring a revised design. With plans for an all-new 2018 version of the GMC Terrain, a Nightfall Edition version of the compact crossover is available for 2017 detailed with a charcoal grille, blacked-out exterior accents and 18-inch aluminum wheels.
