As was the case in 2015, performance remains a centerpiece of Dodge for 2016. An all-new Dodge Viper ACR is developed for the streets with eyes set on racing competition. Extracting 645 horsepower from the 8.4-liter V-10 engine, the 2016 Viper ACR features special aerodynamic and chassis upgrades. Buyers of the 2016 Viper also have the opportunity to tailor their supercar during the Viper 1 of 1 customization program. For fans of the ultra-high-performance SRT Hellcat range, the 2016 model year presents some interesting changes to the line-up.
Production of the 707-horsepower Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat will be increased for 2016 allowing more high-performance Mopar buyers the opportunity of purchasing the vehicles compared to its debut year. 2016 SRT Hellcat versions of the Challenger and Charger offer a larger standard feature list that now includes Laguna leather interior as well as an Uconnect 8.4AN infotainment unit with navigation system. For the early part of the 2016 model year, a limited-edition Plum Crazy exterior paint color is available on Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger models. Aside from Dodge's 2016 car line-up, changes have also been made to the Durango with standard stop-start technology as well as a Sport mode capability.
