2011 Ram Ratings, Reviews and Awards
Recognizing that people who drive pickup trucks often drive them for a range of reasons, RAM expanded its lineup in 2011 by adding a series of trim levels to the 1500, 2500, and 3500 truck lines. The 1500 line saw the addition of a Tradesman trim, an entry-level model targeted at small business owners who need a truck with a lot of power. Perhaps most notable about the Tradesman is the HEMI engine, a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 390 horsepower. One drawback is that the Tradesman is only available as a regular cab model, with seating for three and two doors. Two new trim options were introduced across RAM's pickup truck lines, the Laramie Longhorn and Outdoorsman. Also new for 2011 are more technology features, including electronic brake controller and an information system. Options include a spray-in bed liner and navigation radio.
