2008 Subaru Ratings, Reviews and Awards

In 2008, Subaru started to shed some its reputation as being a car company specifically for people who will face challenging weather conditions and began to be seen as a car company that produced reliable, sturdy vehicles that are ideal for families. Subaru's were never particularly hip nor were they looked at as luxury vehicles, but the car company has found its niche and produces several dependable models. Many of its cars are based on the Legacy, the company's flagship sedan. 2008 saw the Legacy get a bit of a facelift, with the exterior of the vehicle freshened up a bit. Former Legacy wagons got a name change and became known as Subaru Outbacks starting in 2008. The company's other sedan, the Impreza, also got an overhaul in 2008, with a completely new chassis and body, which gave it a sportier look. The Tribeca, the company's 7-passenger SUV, got a new 3.6-liter engine in 2008.
