2016 Volkswagen Golf ratings and reviews

Technologically-advanced may not be a term you’d think to describe the Volkswagen Golf with, but its 2016 version deserves the coinage with its new standard touchscreen display and smartphone connectivity and available safety technology. Drivers can configure the 2016 Golf as a 2-door or 4-door car, the former offering two trims and the latter available in four trims. TSI is available only as a 2-door model and includes the new 5-inch infotainment system, 15-inch wheels, and cruise control, while S adds a rearview camera, Car-Net telematics, and satellite and HD radio. Rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry with push-button start, and leatherette seating are offered in the SE trim, but a navigation system, ambient interior lighting, and a 12-way power driver’s seat are only available in the SEL trim. A Driver Assistance Package offered for SE and SEL includes essential safety technology like blind spot monitoring and lane departure warnings.
