Polaris ATV For Sale

Polaris traces its roots back to Minnesota during the postwar era, where the three founding members started as farm equipment mechanics. In 1960, the Polaris Sno-Traveler proved to the world just how valuable snowmobiles could be by hauling supplies through the Alaskan snow.

Since then, Polaris has become a true titan of the industry, branching into several fields, including ATV production. Their models are some of the best sellers in the market, and they cater to a wide range of customers. This includes the U.S. Military and other government agencies through the Polaris Government and Defense branch.

Polaris ATV Lineup

Polaris has expanded its ATV production to include purpose-specific models. Every ATV comes with several trim options that will boost its performance in a specific fashion. Let’s go through the main categories and find an ATV that best suits your requirements.

Recreational and Utility

From the Recreational and Utility category, the popular Sportsman models are an excellent choice for workers and first-time buyers.

All Polaris ATVs are very reliable, allowing you to travel the great outdoors with confidence. The cargo rack can store travel related goods, like camping equipment. And farmers will be pleased to hear that even the base model can tow over 1,000 pounds.

There are four models to choose from:

  • The Sportsman 450 H.O. is powered by a 499cc, 33 horsepower engine.
  • The Sportsman 570 is powered by a 567cc, 44 horsepower engine.
  • The Sportsman 850 is powered by a two cylinder 850cc, 78 horsepower engine.
  • The Sportsman XP 1000 is powered by a two cylinder 952cc, 90 horsepower engine.

Despite being the base model, the Sportsman 450 delivers impressive performance and great value for the cost. The Sportsman 570 is the best-selling automatic 4x4 ATV, while the 850 and XP 1000 are intended for work and off-road challenges.

Touring

Touring models forgo the massive rear rack in favor of a second seat. In turn, they are better suited for recreational use, especially if you plan on bringing someone along. Aside from the Sportsman 450, Touring Sportsmans are simply adaptations of the previously mentioned models:

  • The Sportsman Touring 570 is powered by a 567cc, 44 horsepower engine.
  • The Sportsman Touring 850 is powered by a two cylinder 850cc, 78 horsepower engine.
  • The Sportsman Touring XP 1000 is powered by a two cylinder 952cc, 88 horsepower engine, and it is negligibly weaker than regular Sportsman.

Sport

Sport models focus entirely on speed, stability, and power in the off-road environment. The combination of massive tires, 14.5” ground clearance, and 55” wide frame on the upscaled models allows them to overcome just about any terrain or obstacle. The power isn’t lacking either, even on the base model.

The Polaris Sport ATV lineup includes:

  • The Scrambler 850 has 78 horsepower, 11.5” of ground clearance, and sport-tuned independent rear suspension.
  • The Sportsman XP 1000 S is a limited-production, 89 horsepower ATV with Walker Evans premium shocks, 500 pound total rack capacity, and 1,750 pounds towing capacity.
  • Also a limited-production model, the Scrambler 1000 S is an 89 horsepower ATV with Walker Evans premium shocks, RZR XP 1000 front differential and half-shafts, and ProSteer design.

Special Editions

If you are looking for something specific, Polaris indeed has the right ATV for you. Their special edition currently consists of three models, each fulfilling a different role.

  • The Sportsman High Lifter Edition has been designed from the ground up for mudding. High and low gearing, wide-open throttle bursts, and 78 horsepower are more than capable of taking you through hip-deep mud and creeks.
  • The Sportsman 6x6 570 is there for the most challenging jobs and harshest climates. Turn it into a snowplow, drive it anywhere, carry up to 1,115 pounds in the cargo box, and make full use of its cargo-dumping feature.
  • The Sportsman X2 570 is ideal for those who need the rear cargo box, but it also has the ability to transport a passenger. With its 1-Up and 2-Up configurations, you can alternate between the two quickly and easily.

Youth

For the youngest ATV fans, Polaris has prepared five models for ages over 6, 10, and 14 years old. The design focuses primarily on driver safety, with an adjustable speed limiter, safety tether, and safety kit.

Turn your passion for the outdoors into a family activity with one of the youth ATV models:

  • The Outlaw 70 EFI, for ages 6 and up.
  • The Outlaw 110 EFI, for ages 10 and up.
  • The Sportsman 110 EFI, for ages 10 and up.
  • The Phoenix 200, for ages 14 and up.
  • The Polaris ACE 150 EFI is a single-seat ATV with a full cab frame for added safety. Suitable for ages 10 and up.
