Seller Notes
The 2019 Harley-Davidson® FXDR™ 114 represents a bold departure from traditional cruiser design, leaning heavily into a "power cruiser" or "drag-bike" aesthetic. It was engineered to be the most performance-oriented model in the Softail® lineup, prioritizing lean angle and weight reduction through the use of premium materials.
Performance Engineering
The FXDR 114 was built to handle more aggressively than a standard cruiser. Harley-Davidson utilized several racing-inspired components to achieve this:
- Weight Reduction: Unlike many heavy-steel frames, the FXDR uses an aluminum swingarm and subframe. This significantly reduces unsprung weight, improving suspension response and flickability in corners.
- Inverted Racing-Style Fork: The 43mm inverted front forks use single-cartridge technology to provide a much stiffer, more responsive front end during hard braking and high-speed cornering.
- High-Output Intake: The "Heavy Breather" inspired air intake isn't just for looks; it is forward-facing to ram cooler, denser air into the engine, mimicking the setup found on NHRA drag bikes.
Power & Handling Specifications

Technical Detail
Engine
Milwaukee-Eight® 114 (1,868cc) V-Twin
Torque
119 ft-lb of peak torque for immediate "stoplight-to-stoplight" power.
Lean Angle
Optimized 2-into-1 exhaust allows for a 32.6° lean angle (Left) and 32.8° (Right).
Rear Tire
A massive 240mm rear tire for maximum grip and a classic dragster profile.
Suspension
Rear mono-shock with easy-to-reach external preload adjustment knob.
Modern Tech & Styling
The FXDR 114 trades chrome for a dark, industrial finish and modern electronics:
- LED Daymaker™ Lighting: A signature LED headlight provides a punchy white beam, complemented by integrated LED rear lighting and turn signals for a minimalist look.
- Stretched Profile: The 4.4-gallon fuel tank is elongated, flowing into a solo seat that emphasizes the bike's "long and low" dragster geometry.
- Digital Riser Gauge: To keep the handlebars clean, the instrumentation is tucked into a small digital display on the handlebar riser, showing speed, gear, and fuel levels.
Customization Potential
The 2019 FXDR was often seen as a "blank canvas" for the Screamin’ Eagle® catalog. Many riders opted for Stage II or Stage III kits to further unlock the potential of the 114 cubic-inch Milwaukee-Eight.
