No one buys a Mercedes because they are basic, so it's nice to find out that despite the number of luxury features they still follow the expected car feature layout. There's an awful lot that this car can do, and I haven't figured out all the options, but I can tell you that driving this car makes you feel like you are driving a luxury car. Power, smoothness, road noise, speaker quality, and seat comfort all feel like a cut above the rest. Rest. On the outside, simple white paint adds a layer of elegance rather than makes the car blend in, and sleek lines give the car a sporty look despite the size of the vehicle. The most surprising thing isn't the placement of the buttons or even the actual functions attached to the buttons, it's the fact that this is a rear wheel drive SUV. I have no clue why they determined that was the way to go, but it definitely sets this vehicle apart from everything else The Car Dad has ever offered before. Paired with the RWD drivetrain is an automatic transmission and the engine is a 3.5L V6, and while that doesn't give the feeling of power that a sports car has, it makes driving effortless and smooth whether you're cruising down the 101, stuck in Bay Area traffic, or rolling down some backroads.
