Classically, sedans from Swedish automaker Volvo have been admired for impressive reliability and safety. Through the 1980s into the 2000s, sedans produced by Volvo were among the first vehicles in the market with occupant safety features such as a three-point center rear seat belt, side impact protection and roof mounted curtain airbags. In recent years, the Volvo line-up has been defined by the S60 and the S80 dominated by turbocharged engines. For 2026, the Volvo S60 line offers a new model capable of handling more challenging terrain condition. Borrowing inspiration and technology from the C70, the S60 Cross Country incorporates a higher ride height, lower skid plate and standard all-wheel drive. Modern Volvo sedans feature a rich array of premium comfort and safety equipment including Sensus Connect.
