A British sports car maker iconic in the construction of well-balanced automobiles for the race track and road, the Lotus brand returned to the United States marketplace last year. For 2018, the latest iterations of Lotus' mid-engined Evora sports car features the 400 and Sport 410 both powered by a supercharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine sourced from Toyota. Available as a two-passenger and 2+2 seat vehicle, the 400-horsepower Lotus Evora 400 weights just 3,049 pounds with a six-speed manual transmission. A six-speed automatic transmission is also available with the Evora 400. In addition to 10 extra horsepower than the Evora 400, the 2018 Lotus Evora Sport 410 is optimized for even better handling. Weighing roughly 154.3 pounds less than the Evora 400, the higher output Lotus sports car utilizes an extensive amount of carbon fiber construction that is also found with the Alcantara-trimmed sport seats. A special aerodynamic package on the Evora Sport 410 increases the vehicle's downforce by 15 percent without adding drag. The top speed of the Lotus Evora Sport 410 is rated at 190 miles per hour.
