The Suzuki Aerio continues for 2007 as a sedan only; the Aerio wagon has been replaced with the new SX4 hatchback, and an SX4 sedan will replace the Aerio sedan for 2008. There are only slight equipment changes to the Aerio for 2007. The Premium model now includes standard cruise control and automatic transmission.
SelectBrowse ListingsIntroduced in 2002, the Aerio was added to the Suzuki fleet as an all-new compact car, offered in sedan and wagon trim levels. For 2003, horsepower increased to 145, cruise control buttons were updated on the steering wheel, the seating design was updated and various trim levels got subtle changes. 2004 saw the addition of a new 2.3-liter engine that was good for 155-horsepower. A driver-seat armrest was made standard and upper trim levels got some significant updates to standard feature sets. Major changes were in store for 2005, with a newly designed bumper, grille and fog lamp debuting alongside clear tail lenses, automated climate control, a new instrument panel, new steering wheel, new audio controls, updated seating and upholstery and major trim level updates. Antilock brakes became standard in 2006, in addition to a new CD player that was MP3 compatible. In 2007, Suzuki dropped the wagon model.
