After a slight redesign for last year, the Saturn Ion returns for 2007 with very few changes. The optional 2.4L engine is now rated at 175 horsepower, five more than in 2006. The Ion is slated to be replaced next year by the new Astra hatchback.
SelectBrowse Listings2003 marked the retirement of the popular S-Series sedan for Saturn. In its place was the all-new Ion sedan. New interior fabrics, better quality plastics, a brand new radio with satellite integration, updated electric steering system and better sound dampening were the notable changes for 2004. A slew of changes were in store for 2005, including: updated front fascias, new exterior trim, new wheels, updated interior trim, reduced noise and vibration throughout, updated power steering and improved suspension and braking. In 2006, OnStar was made standard, the wheels were updated and major trim shuffling took place. 2007 saw the addition of a five-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
