The GranCabrio Convertible and GranTurismo Coupe arrive with a new sport exhaust system for 2026. In addition, the Meccanica Lirica option offered through Maserati Fuoriserie, the brand's personalization program, offers special badging, exhaust tips, wheels, and interior along with recommended Fuoriserie exterior paints. The all-electric GranCabrio Folgore and GranTurismo Folgore were introduced in the previous model year and carry over with minimal change for 2026.

Maserati has dropped the coupe body style for 2019, meaning that the GranTurismo is now only available as a convertible. However, there is a new Nerissimo styling package that features blacked-out chrome and mirror caps and smoked taillights. A couple of new wheel styles have been introduced as has an optional carbon fiber hood.

Maserati have streamlined their GranTurismo Lineup for 2014. Hardtops are now only available in coupe and MC trims, while soft tops continue to be available in base, sport and MC configurations. All coupes now share the most powerful version of Maserati's 4.7L V8.

Maserati has updated the GranTurismo for 2013. A new trim level, the GranTurismo Sport Coupe has been added to the lineup. It promises to be the most performance oriented model amongst the various GranTurismo trim levels. The Sport Coupe also comes with a retuned and more powerful version of the 4.7L V8 that powers other GranTurismo coupes.

More aggressively flared rocker panels and new 20-inch cast aluminum wheels have been fitted, and new interior metal and wood finishes have been added alongside a host of new leather color choices. A new GranTurismo convertible model has been introduced, which is the company's first true 4-seat cabriolet. It features the same 4.7L V8 engine found in the S trim.

The GranTurismo for 2009 has an aluminum 4.7L V8 engine, which replaces the 2008 4.2L engine. Increased both in bore and stroke, the engine now produces 440 horsepower and 362 pound-feet of torque and can reach a top speed of 183 mph. A dual-clutch automatic manual transmission replaces the ZF 6-speed automatic transmission. The so-called MC-Shift system was adapted from Maserati's exotic MC-12 mid-engine racer. Dubbed MC-shift, the new transmission is a revised version of the DuoSelect box that's offered on the Maserati Quattroporte sedan. Also new is an electro-actuated transaxle-mounted gearbox with sequential paddle shifters to go with the automatic clutch. The suspension components of the 2009 GranTurismo S have been stiffened by about 10 percent. The newest GranTurismo S gets wide-mouth exhaust tips, unique side skirts, and a smaller rear spoiler. New high-power Brembo brakes are made using a dual-cast process to combine cast iron and aluminum. They were adapted from the Brembos on the Quattroporte S sedan and can drop the car from 62 mph to 0 in 115 feet. The springs, anti-roll bars, and dampers are retuned for 2009 for firmer, better handling. Inside, the seats feature a luxurious blend of Poltrona Frau leather and ribbed Alcantara inserts distinguished by horizontal piping on the seats and seatbacks.

Maserati's GranTurismo is a new, larger coupe model for 2008, replacing the GranSport coupe and spyder models of 2006, with new styling inside and out. Most notable in the GranTurismo, in addition to the new look, is the availability of a conventional automatic transmission for the first time.
