The Lexus GX will receive a few upgrades in 2022, adding the Black Line Special Edition and a handful of new standard features, including a larger 10.3-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, parking assistant, navigation, power-folding heated mirrors, and an optional paint color ? Nori Green.

The Lexus GX continues into 2019 mostly unchanged, however a few new optional features have been added along with a slight expansion to the vehicles standard safety features. Lexus Enform Safety Connect and Service Connect now come with complimentary access for 10 full years, while Lexus' Enform Remote, which can connect to smartwatches, is now standard. New features include a blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert as well as a "NuLuxe" interior trim option for the seats.

The Lexus GX remains mostly unchanged for 2018. The Luxury Package now features Semi-Aniline bench seats, the base GX now can be equipped with heated and ventilated seats, and the Sport design Package gains captain's-chair second-row seating.

The Lexus GX remains mostly unchanged for 2017, however some of the features and amenities of various trim levels have been slightly reshuffled, while a new Sport Design Package is also new for this year. The Sport Design Package features exclusive front and rear bumpers, exhaust tips and side mirrors, along with 18-inch alloy wheels.

For 2015, the Lexus GX 460 gets an improved app suite for its Enform in car entertainment system, which now includes iHeartRadio 4.0. Additional improvements to the system include a Siri Eyes Free mode.

For 2014, the GX460 gets the new Lexus corporate grille. The stereo gets a new touch-screen interface. Blind spot monitoring is now available.

Changes are quite limited as the Lexus GX 460 SUV carries into 2012. New body-side molding is now color-keyed with chrome accents, and the Premium trim gets a new high-gloss wheel finish. Within the color palette, Peridot Mica is replaced by Fire Agate Pearl.

Following its introduction last year, the Lexus GX 460 sees few changes for 2011, though it does get a brake override system, which automatically cuts engine power when the brake pedal and accelerator are actuated simultaneously.

First off, last year this was known as the GX 470. The model name may be ten smaller, but nothing else has diminished--even the SUV's weight has increased by over 400 pounds. The SUV's new 4.6-liter V8 is slightly smaller than last year's, but it has noticeably more power -- 301 hp vs. 263 hp. The transmission is also new, too, a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic.

The Lexus GX 470 continues on mostly unchanged for 2009, save for some subtle trim upgrades inside and out.

For 2008, the Lexus GX 470 sees few changes. Outside, the GX 470 gets a metallic finish on the door handles, tailgate molding, grille, and roof rack, while the taillights get a new lens treatment and the inside sees some minor trim additions.

The Lexus GX 470 mid-level sport utility underwent no major changes for the 2007 model year. Versatility has been enhanced, as the optional third row seat is now a 50/50 split-folding bench.
