INFINITI QX60 Model Years and History

The QX60 has been nicely refreshed for 2026, with a more aggressive/sporty exterior design that includes new bumpers.

After a brief hiatus in 2021 the Infiniti QX60 returns in 2022 with a few notable changes. A new 9-speed automatic transmission sends power to the wheels, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard across the lineup and the third-row was redesigned for better accessibility.

For 2019, Inifniti has revised the trim names for the QX60. They are now PURE and LUXE, with both two- and all-wheel drive versions available in each. Advanced safety features such as blind spot warning, forward emergency braking and predictive forward collision warning are now standard.

The biggest news for the 2018 QX60 is the addition of a new rear door alert system that will remind drivers if they've left something in the rear seats; such as a pet, valuables or just the groceries. It works by noting weather or not the rear doors were opened prior to setting off. If the rear doors are not then opened again once the destination is reached, the car will alert the driver that they may be forgetting something. The new system is designed to be unobtrusive and can easily be switched off should the owner perfer.

For 2017, the seven-seat INFINITI QX60 gets a revised 3.5L V6. Output goes from 265 to 295 horsepower, while torque goes up from 248 lb-ft to 270. The INFINITI Intouch infotainment system is also upgraded, while WiFi is now available, as is a motion-activated power liftgate. Base price increased by $500 to $44,095.

The INFINITI QX60 gets several updates to both the exterior and interior of the vehicle for 2016. A new grill is the most immediately noticeable change to the front fascia of the 2016 QX60, but look closer and keen observers will also take note of the new bi-xenon headlights, LED fog lights and LED daytime running lights. LED turn signals have also been added to the side mirrors. At the back of the QX60, a new chrome strip draws the eyes in, while giving the vehicle just a little bit more bling. Inside, new, expensive looking materials help keep the INFINITI feeling fresh, airy and comfortable. In addition, the chassis of the vehicle has been tuned for just a bit more handling prowess, making the 2016 QX60 more fun than ever before.

The INFINITI QX60 is largely unchanged for 2015. Three new exterior colors are available -- Hermosa Blue, Majestic White and Graphite Shadow -- and improved shift logic enhances the electronically controlled continuously variable transmission.

The INFINITI QX60 used to be the INFINITI JX. For 2014, INFINITI re-named the model, but kept the rest mostly the same. A power-folding third-row seat is now available, but the big news is a hybrid variation of the QX60 is now available.
