2007 FX45

After receiving a facelift and revised standard equipment for 2006, INFINITI's performance-oriented FX35 and FX45 continue into 2007 with only a few minor changes. There's a new high-luster finish available with 18-inch wheels, and power-folding side mirrors are now standard. An iPod interface for the sound system is now available.

About FX45

INFINITI introduced the FX line of luxury crossover vehicles for 2003, the FX45 represented the eight-cylinder powered version. Created through a design practice called cool fusion by INFINITI, the 2003 FX45s shapely body contours exhibited a blend of sports sedan and sport utility vehicle traits. Settled on a 112.2-inch wheelbase, the FX45 shared a car-like platform with the INFINITI G35 and the M sedan. The INFINITI M45 also lent the 2003 FX45 is 4.5-liter V-8 engine. Producing 280 horsepower, the powerplant was linked to five-speed automatic transmission. Unlike the V-6-powered FX35, the FX45 was not offered as a two-wheel drive model. The standard-equipped ATTESA E-TS (Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All Electronic Torque Split) all-wheel drive system is a high-performing unit capable of on-road or off-road conditions. Four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, Brake Assist, Vehicle Dynamic Control and traction control came standard equipped on the 2003 FX45 providing the luxury crossover with steady, safe handling.

 

The five-passenger cabin of the INFINITI FX45 is includes standard leather seating, aluminum pedals and heated front seats. An optional Premium Package for the crossover included a Bose audio system, HomeLink Universal Transceiver and sunroof. Adding some features in 2004, the INFINITI FX45 was also given a power bump to 315 horsepower. The luxury crossover received slight styling retouch for the 2005 model year with a dark chrome grille on the outside and etched aluminum trim inside. For 2007, more considerable facelift involving a new 20-inch wheel design along with a host of new standard features such as power folding mirrors, Bluetooth, aluminum roof rails and sunroof. For the 2009 model year, an all-new eight-cylinder engine was introduced to the INFINITI FX crossover vehicle line-up translating into the FX50.
