The Hyundai Kona enters 2021 with relatively few changes the most significant change for this model year is the addition of a new Night Edition trim, which comes with the turbocharged engine.

The Hyundai Kona enters 2020 with relatively few changes. The biggest news is that a smart cruise control system has been added to the Ultimate trim, making highway driving far less fatiguing, especially since Hyundai's system is notable for being one of the best such systems currently available. Other than that, the Kona is mostly unchanged though some of the packages and trim levels have been slightly shuffled and renamed. Orange interior accents are also newly available as an option for 2020.

After its world debut in 2018, the Hyundai Kona heads into 2019 with only minor updates. Every new Kona now comes standard with Hyundai SmartSense featuring Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention warning and Lane Keep Assist. Dual front USB outlets and a minor reshuffling of some standard and optional features round out the changes.
