New RS high performance model for 2016. It comes with a turbocharged 2.3L engine good for 350 horsepower coupled to an all-wheel drive powertrain.

The Ford Focus gets a major refresh for 2015. New styling cues front and back change the look of the car while a new engine and new features also make an appearance for 2015. The new engine is a turbocharged 3-cylinder unit that should allow the Focus to achieve excellent fuel economy without compromising much power, thanks to its turbocharger. A rear view backup camera is now standard across the entire Focus range, while the high performance Focus ST has seen numerous suspension improvements to help it handle even better than before. Rounding out the notable changes are numerous improvements to the interior, particularly around the center console where the Focus now feels more refined for 2015.

Following a 2012 redesign, the Ford Focus sees only superficial changes for 2014. The top-level Focus Titanium is now available with a manual transmission.

The Ford Focus was completely redesigned in 2012. For 2013 Ford has added the sporty Focus ST to the lineup. Featuring a much more powerful turbocharged engine, the Focus ST goes, stops and turns like a sports car, but still offers all of the practicality of the standard Focus.

The Ford Focus is completely new for 2012, with an all-new design, more fuel-efficient powertrains, and improved handling, along with a host of new technology features. Ford is recognizing that with the possibility of higher fuel prices, small, more fuel-efficient cars will be more appealing, so it's added a top Titanium model that has many of the top-tech features from Ford's larger, more expensive models. A limited-availability battery-only Focus can be had in some markets for 2012.

With a major redesign on track for the 2012 model year, the 2011 Focus remains largely unchanged. The lineup shrinks slightly, with the 2-door coupe now discontinued. SEL models are now available with an automatic transmission only, with no manual transmission available.

Following a redesign in 2008 and significant changes in 2009, the Ford Focus heads into 2010 with few updates, though safety features have been enhanced with anti-lock brakes and Ford's Advance Trac with electronic stability control. Ford has announced it will bring the European-spec Focus to the U.S. sometime during the 2010 model year, which will include a direct-injection powerplant and a 6-speed transmission.

The Focus, which was given a facelift for 2008, gets some further significant changes for 2009, with new front and rear fascias for the coupe. SES coupes get a new roof-line spoiler and standard 17-inch aluminum wheels. Performance is increased through the model line for coupes; models with manual transmission get a boost in power, while those with automatic transmission get a lower final-drive ratio. Focus sedans come in a new top-of-the-line SEL model, with special alloy wheels and chrome trim, along with increased feature content, and the sporty SES sedan gains revised suspension tuning and larger 17-inch wheels. Electronic stability control is newly available as an option throughout the Focus line for 2009.

All hatchback and wagon models of the Ford Focus have been dropped for 2008, but a two-door coupe joins the lineup; the remaining sedan has been fully redesigned cosmetically for 2008, with a distinctive new look inside and out. Side air bags are standard on the new Focus.

Ford's 2007 Focus family gets various options and upgrades aimed at those who seek more individualization. New leather-trimmed sport seats are available, sound systems have been upgraded, and there are two sporty new Street Appearance Packages. Two new exterior colors, Kiwi Green Clearcoat Metallic and Aqua Blue Clearcoat Metallic, join the lineup. The Focus will be more substantially revised for 2008.
