The Malibu Limited is based on the 2015 Malibu. It maintains that car's styling and much of its standard equipment. However, the 2.0L turbocharged engine is not available on the 2016 Limited.

Standard equipment on the Malibu Limited includes ten airbags, four-wheel anti-lock disc braking, cruise control, remote keyless entry and air conditioning. Available features on the Chevrolet sedan include Chevrolet MyLink and accident avoidance technology such as Side Blind Zone Alert.
