SelectBrowse ListingsThe Terraza debuted in 2005 as Buicks attempt to gain a foothold in the upscale minivan market in North America. Completing against the Chrysler Town & Country as well as a number of import brands, the Buick Terraza was introduced with front-wheel and an all-wheel drive train option (the all-wheel drive version was discontinued after one year of production). Based on the same platform as other General Motors brand minivans, the Terraza featured some notable standard upscale touches including Buicks QuietTuning technology and a suspension system featuring automatic load leveling. Riding on standard 17-inch wheels, the 2005 Buick minivan was propelled by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine. Generating 200 horsepower, the powerplant of the 2005 Terraza was attached to a four-speed automatic transmission. In front-wheel drive trim, the Buick Terraza achieved an average fuel economy of 25 miles per gallon. The seven-passenger minivan cabin of the Buick featured a stowage third row bench seat. For rear passenger comfort, the Terraza included a standard DVD entertainment system. In 2006, an optional 3.9-liter V-6 powerplant offered on the Buick Terraza generating 240 horsepower. This more potent six-cylinder engine was the only powerplant available for the 2007 model year model. A FlexFuel version of the Terraza was also offered in 2007 allowing the minivan to operate on E85 blended gasoline. General Motors shortly ended production of minivans in North America following the discontinuation of the Buick Terraza as the company focused on crossover vehicles. The result was the Terrazas indirect replacement being the Buick Enclave. A Buick brand minivan is available in China.
