The Buick Envision gets a couple of notable changes and additions for the 2019 model year. The most obvious change to the Envision is to the front fascia, where a new grill design and a sleek looking front bumper set the vehicle apart from past models. Less immediately obvious is the switch to full LED headlights, which are standard across the lineup. The 2.0L engine gets a boost in torque for this year, while a new engine start/stop system increases fuel economy.

Following its trim and drivetrain additions for 2017, the Buick Envision has no significant changes for 2018.

Following its debut last year, for 2017, the Buick Envision adds two trim levels to slot in beneath both Premium and Premium II--a base Essence trim and a mid-level Preferred trim. These are powered by a new naturally aspirated 2.5L 4-cylinder, with power sent to either the front wheels or all four wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Buick Envision is a brand new luxury crossover vehicle with compact dimensions. The Envision is aimed at buyers who want plenty of luxury and competence from their SUV, but whom don't want to drive a large, truck-based vehicle. The Envision offers an excellent blend of power and fuel economy, with its punchy, turbocharged engine. And its compact dimensions mean that it won't punish owners during forays into the city, where truck sized parking spots can be scarce.
