BMW 8 Series Model Years and History

The 8 series carries over into 2026 without any major modifications or design changes. There are changes to the line-up however, with the deletion of the 4.4L twin-turbo V8 M8 model.

The BMW 8-series is a carryover for 2025 and does not undergo any changes.

The BMW 8-series carries over with minimal changes for 2024.

For 2023, the BMW 8-series gets a refreshed front grille and a larger touchscreen.

For 2022, the BMW 8-series adds an M Sport package and the M8's now come with the Competition package as standard.

For 2021, the BMW 8-series lineup returns with no major changes except some aesthetics refreshes.

The BMW 8-Series is a brand-new coupe sitting very near the top of BMW's range. The 8-Series aims to give drivers both an impeccably luxurious car and something stylish and fast; the new 8-Series being one of the best-looking cars BMW have ever produced. BMW are aiming to build one of the best luxury cars on the planet with this car, but they're taking a holistic approach to luxury.
