About Integra

The Acura Integra was one of two vehicles that launched the Honda-derived luxury car company. Introduced in 1986, the Integra served as the entry-level premium product under the new premium brand available with a three-door or five-door fastback-like sedan body style. The first generation model of the Acura Integra quickly established a reputation for combining sportiness and luxury comfort with features such as pop-up headlights. Fixed headlights were adopted by the second generation Integra and a performance-oriented GS-R was introduced in 1992. The Integra GS-R coupe (expanded to a sedan in 1994) featured a four-cylinder engine incorporating VTEC technology. A third and final redesign of the Acura Integra occurred in 1994 included a four-rounded headlight appearance. Last produced in 2001, the Integra was replaced by a sport coupe called the RSX. Primarily due to its VTEC engine, later versions of the Acura Integra have been sought-after in the pre-used car market among the import tuner crowd.
