The Telluride hybrid was strategically created to fill the market hole the ICE Telluride cannot fill and competes with the likes of the Hyundai Palisade HEV which also has a similar 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with two electric motors. Both the Telluride Hybrid and the Palisade HEV produce the same amount of power, although the Telluride can be attained for a slightly better price. The Telluride also claims a slightly more efficient model at 31 mpg combined, while at the same time achieving a quicker quarter-mile time.
