The Volvo XC40 is a compact luxury SUV competing with the likes of the BMW X1, Mercedes GLA and Audi Q3. The Volvo XC40 starts at a base price of $34,345 for 2020. Volvo continues to offer traditional lease and finance options, however they also offer a unique subscription offering for new XC40s. For $700 a month, customers can "subscribe" to the compact SUV, paying for it on a monthly basis. Volvo claims that there is no long-term commitment and that insurance and maintenance are included in that price, making it a pretty sweet deal for anyone who only needs a car for a couple of years and who doesn't want to deal with many of the traditional hassles of car ownership.
