Volkswagen continues forward with its three SUVs – Atlas, Tiguan, and Touareg – for 2019, although the Touareg will no longer be offered in the U.S. market. The luxurious SUV receives significant changes for the model year, including a larger and more tech-forward infotainment center, a night vision camera, impressive powertrain offerings, and a polished exterior that looks bolder yet more refined. Volkswagen placed its focus for the Atlas un updating its trim levels and driver safety systems by adding features like forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection to all trim levels and adding two new trims into the lineup. The SE w/Technology R-Line trim adds some aesthetic tweaks and 20-inch wheels to SE, while SEL R-Line adds the same to SEL. The Tiguan’s trim levels are also revised for 2019 and two new trims – SEL R-Line and SEL Premium R-Line – come onboard with sporty styling elements and larger wheels than their base trims.
