The 2019 Toyota 86 is an exceptionally sporty coupe that is ideal for drivers looking for a lower price tag than luxury vehicles. Reminiscent of the Celica and based off the former Toyota Scion FR-S, The Toyota 86 is essentially the same concept as the Subaru BRZ. The 86 was an entirely new car two years ago, so no significant overhauls took place in 2019. However, this year a TRD edition was unveiled with Brembo braking, performance exhaust, SACHS dampers, and some appearance upgrades. A Neptune blue paint hue was also added this year. The 2019 Toyota 86 has a 2.0-liter “Boxer” four-cylinder that is horizontally opposed and cranks out 205 horsepower with 156 lb.-ft of torque, with a six-speed manual transmission. In the six-speed automatic, drivers get 200 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft of torque. A single-piece folding rear seat, USB port, Bluetooth, a seven-inch touchscreen, and an eight-speaker sound comes standard.
