With the discontinuation of the Eos hardtop convertible early in 2016, Volkswagen's only two-door options for 2017 is the well-known Beetle and Golf GTI model. Although both vehicles are technically hatchbacks, they both inspire a strong sport character similar to coupes. For 2017, the Volkswagen Beetle's line-up of special edition models expands. The #PinkBeetle limited edition 2017 Beetle is detailed with a unique Fresh Fuchsia Metallic paint on the outside while plaid pattern "Club" cloth seats are found inside. On all 2017 Volkswagen Beetles powered by a turbocharged 1.8-liter engine, front and rear bumpers have been sculpted for a more aggressive appearance. Classified as a four-door coupe, the Volkswagen CC returns for 2017. The 2017 Volkswagen CC 2.0T R-Line Executive receives a full list of advanced safety equipment as standard such as Lane Departure Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control.
