Mercedes-Benz calls the CLS a "4-Door Coupe," but it's actually a sedan whose curves suggest a sporty coupe-style body shape. It occupies a segment that also includes the Audi A7, the BMW 5-series Gran Turismo and Porsche Panamera. While all of these models feature strong blends of luxury and performance with coupe-like design, the CLS offers about 70 more horsepower over the competition as well as a standard 9-speed transmission.
