Volkswagen has dropped the Rabbit name on their hatchback and reverted back to Golf for 2010 with the arrival of an all-new model. Offered with a gasoline-powered and a diesel-propelled variant, the new Volkswagen Golf hatchback is now offered with a six-speed DSG transmission previously offered with the GTI. New versions of the Jetta and Passat slated to appear for 2011 have affected the product variety for both sedans. The 2010 Volkswagen Passat is only offered as a Komfort trimmed sedan that adds a six-speed DSG transmission in place of a previous six-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox. The Jetta GLI variant has been dropped for the 2010 model year but Volkswagen substitutes it with a Wolfsburg Edition and TDI Cup Street Edition providing unique sport features. A Wolfsburg edition branding is also incorporated with the 2010 Tiguan. Adding the DSG transmission, the 2010 Volkswagen CC also gains Bluetooth connectivity at no extra cost on all models.
